missroseroseHave you ever had a week that seems to be going really well until one of the people you know gets all sentimental and teary-eyed and starts going all maudlin on you?
Have you ever thought that a situation was somewhat resolved and finally getting better, only to have someone involved go on a self-pity streak and drag you back down through the muck?
Have you ever gotten really, really sick of having someone drag you down through all the emotional shit of the past with them in a supposed attempt to "solve" it?
Have you ever just wanted to kick someone in the balls repeatedly, if only because it would give them something else to feel sorry for themselves about?

Date: 2003-10-18 08:07 pm (UTC)How is one supposed to act and feel when the woman your insanely in love with is running around with another guy and cuts you off because she cant take the emotional BS associated with feeling like she's betraying you anymore, the guy she's running around with is telling you that you shouldnt even consider being in a relationship with her because *he* doesnt think you are ready and refuses to give any specifics, when he alternately disparages my religous base as "stupid" and says that my actions should have been/be altered by his perception of the world through his religion, and the both of them are giving you the short shitty end of double standards? Add to that the "how long is it going to last" bit... if I leave, disgust is justified because I "wouldnt have stuck around anyway" and if I stick around then im clinging on and being immature. Double-binds while getting beaten arent happy places to be, so apologies if Im not all roses when they come about.
On the upside, shopping this morning was excellent, you have a *gorgeous* dress, and we're making progress with our relationship. Im not sitting at home being maudlin about our relationship, im posting it and going off to have fun elsewhere (but not breaking my devotion to you, damnit!!!)
On a totally different note, does the California Poppy have any comments, or wish to drop hints about identity? Other than you, we all know each other here (okay, well, Brian and Ryan havent interacted much but still...).
