A small funny story

I have very little to contribute on the topic of the news right now. But I get the feeling we could all use some cheering-up, so here's a mildly embarrassing anecdote:
Some of you have probably heard me go on about my favorite vibrator. While it wasn't cheap, it's given me seven years of faithful service at this point, so I'm not surprised or even really sad that it's finally died. At this point I'm more than happy to give it a military funeral with full honors.
HOWEVER...is there any more embarrassing way for it to go out than for the "off" switch to fail? While it's at full throttle? Forcing one to have to wash it off (still running) and sheepishly take it to one's engineer husband and go "um...can you make it stop?" And then watch while he pries the damn thing apart at the seams?
On the upside, I can attest that Lelo's toys are supremely well-designed both inside and out, so...if you're looking to invest, I highly recommend them!

On the joking side of things, there's a ferry here that runs from Cremyl to Plymouth and I have an urge on the Cremyl side to ask "How long to make the Admiral's Hard and get off?" The landing pier is called the Admiral's Hard...

Alas, I've been looking up some info on Lelo's product line, and a number of bloggers have commented that their quality's taken a nosedive over the past five years, as well as their having made some questionable marketing decisions...I suspect I'm going to head over to Early to Bed and see what the ladies there recommend.
I bet you the ferry people have never ever heard that one before. ;)

Date: 2018-06-29 02:02 am (UTC)That was actually my first approach—but I was trying to take a nap, and I'll be damned if I could sleep with it going full-bore, even buried under a pile of blankets! Conditioning is a pain like that.
