Health update

As of today, Friday, I am 3,089 calories under my weekly (Monday-Sunday) budget. Probably even more than that, as I strongly doubt that much of anything I've eaten these past few days has done anything so gauche as stick around to be absorbed.
Short version, I think I'm over the hump now. Crossing fingers.
Long version, I thought I was getting better Wednesday afternoon. Thursday turned out to be worse, culminating in a seriously painful bout of gut cramps (just as Brian came home to listen to me complain, too, poor guy). Fortunately, they only lasted a half-hour or so, and so far that appears to have been the nadir. I have noticeably more energy today, and the rumblings are quieter, so I'm going to hope that means I'm on the mend. Even if the things I eat still appear to be...exiting with some alacrity.
Having stuck to it thoroughly (if involuntarily) for some days now, I don't believe I can reasonably recommend the gastroenteritis diet as a weight-loss plan. I have no doubt that it will show results, and quickly, but the dangers of malnourishment and dehydration are just a little too omnipresent. Plus, the discomfort and loss of function involved (did I mention I've lost out on four days of my two-week introductory rate at Yoga Tree?) is likely to turn off all but the most hardcore weight-loss fanatics.
Also, if I never see another bowl of applesauce again it will be too soon.
