Nov. 21st, 2004 11:55 amI really haven't been around much recently, in case anyone's noticed. I'm sure most of you can figure out the reasons. Suffice it to say, since I've been getting "Okay, we get it" looks/notes from various friends of mine, I figured I'd keep future overflowing giddiness either to myself or in locked posts. So there. I can be courteous, dammit. =P
That said, I'm in search of an electric train set - my mother wants one to go around the bottom of the Christmas tree, and after looking at Costco/Fred's/JoAnn's (okay, so I really didn't expect to find one at JoAnn's, I just wanted to go in the store =P) I found exactly one set that was so huge and garishly painted that I really couldn't buy it. My sense of taste just wouldn't allow me to, especially as I have no six-year-olds (for whom the thing was apparently designed). Thank God. So if anyone local could suggest any stores that might have a nifty little electric Christmas train of some sort, please feel free to let me know...
Juneau-Brian and I went out to the barn dance last night, which was great fun, even though (thanks to the fact that that was the first one I've been to since I got back) I had very little endurance and we ended up pretty much sitting out every other dance and talking. But that was fun, too. I also got to meet his mother earlier that day; she seems very nice, though we didn't talk much. Hopefully I'll have a chance to get to know his family better over Thanksgiving.
Anyway, back to work and homework reading...what joy.
