Whilst discussing transportation arrangements if we lived somewhere like Boston with excellent public transit:

Brian: I was thinking it would probably make the most sense to sell the car and just get a small truck, like an older Tacoma or Ranger or something. Then we'd have it if we needed to haul something, and we could just leave it parked the rest of the time.

Me: That's not a bad idea, but people with trucks are pretty unusual in East Coast cities. Do you realize how often people would be asking us to help them move?

Brian: Do you realize how constantly full of good beer our fridge would be?

Me: ...point.

I have never feared for my life so much as when I was a passenger being driven around Cambridge. FFS, people, roundabouts have laws!

I know! Seriously, I had to keep repeating to myself "the taxi driver knows what he's doing, he does this for a living" every time we took one somewhere. Street markers are not just rough guidelines, people!

Yes they are.
And if you need street signs then you're not from around here and should go the hell back where you came from.

Yet somehow you still curse at me when I fill your fridge with good beer.

Not in seriousness. Just in the calories it adds to my daily intake. (Delicious, delicious calories.)
