Well. Howzabout that.

Weird, how stuff you create and put on the internet ends up in the strangest places.
I have no idea where the video's creator came across the picture - for those too lazy to read the original post, Brian and I took it for a photo contest that Patrick Rothfuss held to promote the paperback release of his first novel. So maybe they read his blog. Or perhaps they Googled "sexy librarian" - the friend who found the video tipped me off to that picture appearing in the first row of hits (which is sort of flattering, considering that most of the other results are far more blatant). Or maybe they came across it on Facebook. Who knows?
But hey. If nothing else, being Google-famous is a nice bit of ego boost. Even if I wish there were a link to my blog or something as well - it'd be nice to be known as a writer as well as a hot librarian.

Date: 2011-06-24 05:48 am (UTC)I had something vaguely like that happen to me once - I got an email from someone asking if I was the author of such-and-such poem (http://claybirdjewelry.com/writing/threevoices.html). I answered in the affirmative. Turns out it's been used at church groups and spiritual retreats since the year after I wrote it, and they wanted to know if I was ok with them using it for another. I was quite flattered and of course, gave them leave to use it, and asked that they send me a sound clip (they were going to be recording it.) Alas, they never sent me the audio... so I've never heard it aside form in my head!
Your photo projects tend to be pretty eye-catching. I'm just sayin'.
