The goss'mer skies above our frosted home
Will smile to see our ardent love supply
Spun-sugar food, and drinks of sweet milk-foam
And candied birds to please the ear and eye.

And yet -- how long? Before our gluttony
Of unrelenting joy starts to exhaust?
Incessant syruped meals and company
How long 'til genuine enchantment's lost?

Oh love! give me your doubt, your fear, your pain
Delights that marzipan can only feign.

Aww, thanks. :) Considering I've had this perception about how difficult writing a sonnet would be ever since reading A Wrinkle In Time as a young kid, I'm rather pleased with how it came out.
