Friend vs. Friend

Brian and I have been promising to take our friend Janae out to Screaming Banshee Pizza for a while now, and since Monica is here this week, we thought it'd be an excellent opportunity for us all to have a nice night out.

It was a perfectly pleasant evening that involved good food and drink, but there was one exchange that totally cracked me up. Monica had made some reference to the fact that she didn't like most alcoholic beverages.

Janae: "You mean you don't drink?"

Monica: "Not a lot, no."

Janae: "...then how did you get to be friends with Rose?"

Yep, same Monica. She came up to visit for the week. And she still lives there. Still goes out Saturdays, too, best I know.

I've been good friends with Rose for over 27 years now and I don't drink alcohol a bit! (OK one sip at Holy Communion on Sunday) Rose Rose is an equal opportunity bestower of friendship, loyalty and love! I can document this from first hand experience . . .
