From the "inspiring/uplifting" category - the front page of the Arizona Star today. Sadly, I didn't snap a picture and can't find a screenshot, but the entire top half is taken up with a picture of Obama from his speech yesterday, with the quote "WE CAN BE BETTER" stretching across the entire thing. No sidelines, no OMG DISASTER stuff to try and grab your attention. Just the quote.

I can barely read any news articles because I find such glaring errors in them, it saddens me.

Hey, when did it get to be Lurker Comment Appreciation Day? :D

Yeah, in the rush to get the news out as quickly as possible (and to save as much money as possible), copyediting seems to be falling by the wayside. It might have something to do with the fact that people on the Internet have 15-second attention spans, so even fairly large errors like that are missed by the majority of the readers. :)
