Winter's here, mostly...
Oct. 20th, 2004 12:34 amFirst real snow of the season, tonight. Beautiful, though it's going to make driving downtown a bit tricky tomorrow. And all the tire places are going to be backed up out the wazoo for the next couple of weekends. Which doesn't really matter, since I can't afford snow tires at the moment, anyway. I'll just have to hope it doesn't get icy.
I've discovered that my passenger's-side car door is arthritic. It tends to squeal rather loudly while being open or shut when the temperature dips below a certain point. Ironically enough, it wasn't squealing this evening, despite the snow - it's been really cold the last couple of nights because the sky's been clear. Whereas it's now snowing, but warmer. Go figure.
Is it bad that I went outside a day or two ago, got hit in the face with a blast of 31 degree Farenheit air, and thought, "It's time to move someplace warmer"? I mean, I lived in Barrow over a winter. 85 freaking degrees below zero, not to mention wind chill. I'm turning into a wuss. =s
Nesting urges are getting more frequent. Dunno if this has to do with insecurity regarding my breakup with Ryan, or the weather suddenly getting colder, or something entirely different...
