An afternoon thought*
Sep. 15th, 2009 01:46 pmI'm a bit confused here. I mean, if Glenn Beck is despised by people on the left or in the center because he's a paranoid, lying scumbag who's off his rocker, and people on the right don't like him because they think he's a careerist phony...
...who is it that's actually listening to him?
(And who do we petition to get them shipped to Mars?)

Date: 2009-09-16 05:58 pm (UTC)The sad thing is, I've listened to the audio version of Glenn Beck's book _An Inconvenient Book_, and he starts off relatively sane. He has some good points that can be backed up by independent sources and stuff. And then he goes a little too far. And then he goes a little farther. And then he goes farther. And then I shut off the stereo.
And that's what truly, utterly irritates me about the extremists on both sides, because they start off saying things that NEED to be said, and then they go an negate anything useful that might have come from it by destroying their own credibility with anyone but their own little circles.
