Okay. One more small political comment.

Tell me - how many of these has our Fearless Leader violated in his presidency?

He has refused his assent to laws the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. (Any number of issues could go here. Health care. Abortion rights. All sorts of things that are important for the people of America and yet are getting ignored.)

He has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained; and, when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has dissolved representative houses repeatedly for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people. (Resisters to the Patriot Act, anyone?)

He has refused for a long time after such dissolutions to cause others to be elected, whereby the legislative powers, incapable of annihilation, have returned to the people at large for their exercise, the state remaining, in the meantime, exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without and convulsions within.

He has endeavored to prevent the population of these states; for that purpose obstructing the laws for naturalization of foreigners, refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new appropriations of lands. (Check Bush's stance on immigration laws.)

He has made judges dependent on his will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries. (Will have to look into this.)

He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of new officers to harass our people and eat out their substance. (How effective do you seriously think the "Homeland Security" administration is? Not to mention the Transportation Security Administration - read any one of a number of articles on people who actually decided to test them.)

He has kept among us in times of peace standing armies without the consent of our legislatures. (More funding to the army! More I say! Never mind the fact that there wouldn't be a war going on if we hadn't started it!)

He has affected to render the miliatary independent of, and superior to, the civil power. (Need I say anything here?)

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people. (I have a feeling the Iraqis might be saying the same thing right about now.)

He is at this time transporting large armies of foreign mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny already begun with circumstances of cruelty and perfidy unworthy the head of a civilized nation. (We need more troops in Iraq!)

This list is scaring me. Mostly because now, I'm going to have to look up documentation for this and possibly write a paper on it...
