Spam subject line of the day: I slid right into her from behind

...Considering I just drove to work through the beginnings of what's looking to be a pretty nasty snowstorm, I don't think that the mental images that line's conjuring up in my head are the same ones the author originally intended.

I wonder how many vehicles were behind you, lest you find that there was a double sliding into someone involved. :)

Or maybe honking a horn is considered foreplay.

Oh good, there's at least one Shakespeare geek reading. :D Although frankly, I had my money on [livejournal.com profile] cyranocyrano being the one to catch it...

'Much Ado' is one of my favorites, esp. the Kenneth Brannaugh/Emma Thompson production. The few minutes surrounding that line - the entire "Gadding of Benedict" scene - is one of the most fun to watch from the whole film, and just about every production of the play that I've seen.

i'm just lucky you chose one I know and love :-)

I completely agree. That's probably one of the most hilarious sequences in Shakespeare, and Emma Thompson and Kenneth Brannaugh are both fantastic in it. I used to love watching my mum's old VHS tape of the show.

Beleive it or not, I knew for about 5 years before it ever happened that that was the first DVD I was ever going to buy myself, once I accumulated enough money to actually spend some on things like DVDs - of everything I'd ever seen, I knew that was the one i was going to want to re-watch the most. i think second in that frequency-of-viewing is the "12th night" with Ben Kingsley and Helena Bonham Carter. Oh, they make me laugh until I hurt...
