Date: 2008-11-15 09:58 pm (UTC)Not to threadjack: have you tried Fallout 3 yet? I thought it'd be a well-disguised rehash of the Oblivion engine, but no, it's not well-disguised at all.

Date: 2008-11-15 10:15 pm (UTC)I've been watching Brian play Fallout 3, and it is fairly Oblivion-esque, but they've made some significant improvements. I'm looking forward to when I go on a video-gaming spree again so I can try it out.

The one thing they haven't improved on is the "radiant" AI, especially for companions. It's bad enough that the slavers didn't seem to take issue with me laying mines down the main thoroughfare of their compound in preparation for me sniping their guard and mowing them all down. It's slightly worse that my Brotherhood of Steel companion kept stumbling over the mines immediately after I laid them. Replace "Steel" with "iron" and "Brotherhood" with "cranium," I suppose.
And the hacking minigame is fun, too. And VATS? Glee.

Date: 2008-11-16 07:02 pm (UTC)Now, it seems to me also that you have two parents and the other one would really think this was something. Could give you a lot to talk about given his purient interest in all things sexual and his tendency to get pain and sex mixed up.
Were you thinking of a good conversation starter like "Hi Dad, know we haven't talked in a while, but I thought you would like to know I got a vertical hood piercing the other day . . . .!" I'm quite sure that would get his attention and provide any revenge you may have desired as it will restimulate all those dreadful inner conflicts he has to repress about sexual desire for his offspring . . ."
As for me, I was just recalling how beautiful and perfectly formed you were as a baby. Since you were my first child and I grew up without little brothers and sisters I was astonished at the miniture details of your body - perfect little nails on each finger and toe, beautiful long eyelashes that could have been painted by an angel. All the reproductive parts in the right place and ready to grow up fully functional! Human anatomy is so amazing!
Well, Rose my Darlin' Girl - its your body and you enjoy it! Love, Mum

Good heavens! No wonder you divorced him!
