Between jury duty, shuffling appointments around, icky weather, Brian being ill, and some tedious stuff at work, it's been a long damn week.

To top it all off, I've been feeling frankly horny the last couple days, just as Brian's not feeling up for anything. Not that that's that all that different from usual. :P But then, that's why I invested in one of these. And batteries.

On the plus side, it's now the weekend, I'm in my warm comfortable bed with a warm snuggly kitty and some damn good Haagen-Daas coconut sorbet, listening to the wind and rain outside. And we're probably going to venture out to see The Dark Knight later. And the week is over. So things are looking up.

We had one of those and determined that the main area's speeds didn't go high enough, and that the rabbit vibe bit's speeds didn't go *low* enough. Their high speed was cool, but the low speed wasn't nearly low enough to start off with. Did the one you got have this problem?

Yes, it does. It unfortunately seems to be a side effect of being a compact battery-powered vibe. The annoying bit (for me) is having to adjust the vibration upwards again to get it to the previous level after turning on the rotation. But without a larger amount of current to draw from (and some means of regulating it so you don't have the "vibe too strong" problem), it's sort of inevitable - and the electronics of the thing are a bit too cheap & cheesy for anything that complex.

That said, once I've managed to adjust for it's quirks, I've found it to be one of the more effective vibes I've tried. A bit involved for everyday use, but great for when you're having one of those days and need to relax. :)

heh... "effective" is indeed one word. Aside from the hitachi, the rabbit family are the fastest thing I've ever seen at producing orgasms. I remember the first time I experimented with it with one person, I turned it on (both halves) and she got this really surprised look on her face - about three seconds later was bouncing all over the place. She said it was the oddest thing she'd ever experienced: a huge orgasm with no time at all to build up. I was amused.

Anyhow, hooray for using toys to keep stress at a minimum :-) enjoy!

*laughs* Hooray indeed. If nothing else, they help quite a bit with that pesky tendency to cause trouble (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_hysteria). :)

Ah, yes, good old "Female Hysteria". Soooo very different then from what it means now! Gotta love the medical science of being uptight.

Hell, the medical science of making money. The treatment for female hysteria was ideal for that - it posed little risk of harming the patient (unlike many other treatments of the day), but required constant visits (and therefore was a constant revenue stream). Not to mention, it was rather popular among the women involved. :)

If you haven't already done so, you should try NiMH rechargeables. Lower stable voltage than alkaline so the rabbit part may move more slowly, while they support higher current levels without reduction in voltage. That should help the internal aspect that probably needs more power to move against greater resistance. Less reduction in voltage with higher current draw may reduce or eliminate that internal on, external slows down effect.

Lithium non-rechargeables are similar in supporting higher currents without voltage drop but their voltage is higher than the NiMH so my guess is that they won't be your preferred option. Also pretty expensive compared to rechargeables. Maybe worth an experiment, though.

Alkalines start out at a slightly higher voltage but can't maintain it as the current draw increases so they end up producing a lower stable voltage that quite rapidly decreases. Either of the other two stays stable at about 1.2v for NiMH or 1.3v for lithium for longer... so you don't get reduced power just when you want more.

Brian had mentioned lithium batteries as an option if I wanted more power, but I was a bit worried about the "more current" aspect - see above re: cheap & cheerful electronics. I don't want to end up with an electrical fire caused by my vibe. :) The NiMH ones don't sound like a bad plan, though. I'll have to keep my eye out for some.

Wow. My mother's using netspeak. This is...a bit mind-blowing.

Also, I thought about putting "Mum, if you're reading this, don't click" as part of the post, but I figured, hey - you're entitled to enjoy awesome erotic art just as much as any of us. :)

Oops, wait. Had it mixed up - thought you were replying to a different post. Although you can still click the link in the other post if you want. ;)

I love how the reviewer "Mona_Lisa" is almost bragging about how she overworked and overheated her rabbit and killed it. Hee! Looks like a fun toy! I kept putting off commenting because all sorts of inappropriate things could have been said. But since you've been pwned by your mom in your LJ, I figured wth,

*laughs* I trust pretty much everyone on my LJ to be respectful - and if not, there's always the "block" button. And my mother knows I'm sometimes more open about things than she would prefer, but she's good about respecting that it's my blog.
