Grr. Argh.

I hate it when things that were supposed to be taken care of come back to cause more trouble for you later. Especially when you already got the short end of the stick previously, and don’t particularly feel like bending over to take some more. (If you’ll pardon the mixed - and slightly crude - metaphor.)
I don’t really want to go into any more detail until things are resolved one way or the other, as there’s a potential that there might be legal action involved (though I’m hoping it won’t come to that). Suffice it to say, I’m done bending over for this situation, backwards or forwards. Just because I try to be a decent person doesn’t mean I have to be "nice". Especially in situations that are tripping my “you’re being taken advantage of” alarm left, right, sideways and directions they haven’t even invented yet.
Argh.
In slightly happier news, I climbed a couple of fairly difficult (for me) courses at the Rock Dump yesterday, then ran half a mile on the treadmill. Possibly as a result, I slept really heavily last night - I came home, had dinner and a Smithwick’s (damn good Irish beer, by the way), read a bit, took a nap, got up to do my before-bed things and have a bath, got done with everything and got in said bath only to realize that I had been two-thirds asleep while doing them. Had my bath and read a bit more, then went to sleep. Really, really deeply, I think, since I can’t remember waking up once throughout the night, and I feel really good this morning. So I’m not complaining. And Brian will likely be working a bit late today, so maybe I’ll go see if I can do it again after work.

Date: 2008-04-15 06:00 pm (UTC)I have some, and am working on getting more. Still keeping my fingers crossed that it won't come down to legal action - though if it does, it's just small claims court, which isn't supposed to be as big of a hassle/expense. Still, I'd rather not have all that on record...

Date: 2008-04-15 04:46 pm (UTC)Obviously not privy to the situation, but empathy related, nonetheless. It's difficult being decent people when others don't seem obliged to return the favor.
But w00t for happy cathartic workout, at least. I feel like I've exercised vicariously through that. (And this is my excuse for not moving for the rest of the day, just gnawing on a blueberry pancake and pushing myself up and down the building in the roller-chair as necessary.) And good post-exertion sleep is the best kind. (Which reminds me: need moar Tylenol PM. Feh.)
Here's hoping some good karma bleeds over into your aforementioned unpleasantness.

Date: 2008-04-15 06:06 pm (UTC)"Pushing yourself around in the roller chair" is an awesome form of exercise, and should definitely be included on regular workout charts. Although coming up with a way to count calories burned could be tricky...
Thanks for the good wishes. I hope you're right. ;)

Date: 2008-04-15 04:48 pm (UTC)I hope everything works out without legal action being required. That would suck.
But yay for rock-climbing!

Date: 2008-04-16 02:47 pm (UTC)I'm curious enough to know what the hells is happening but awake enough to know that you're probably not going to post the gory details any time soon. Hope it all turns out for the best.
