Well, fuck...
Sep. 4th, 2004 08:58 amI was taking a look at my class schedule yesterday, and realized that my acting class (which takes place from 7 to 10 on Monday nights) was listed as taking place in the Perseverance Theater. So I figure I'll ask somebody as to where that is; after all, someone's got to know, right?
Well, I talked to Ian just now, and apparently the theater is all the way over in Douglas (for you non-Juneauites, that's across town from the University, as Douglas Island is across a bridge from downtown Juneau). Which means that, theoretically, I have to get across town two days of the week. Now the singing lessons aren't too bad, though they're going to be a pain in the arse to wait half an hour/an hour for the bus afterward; but by 10:00 PM the buses have pretty much quit, which would leave me stranded.
At the moment, it looks like my options are (a) find another class, which I could do, but which would be a pain because I already have my school/work schedule planned out, plus this class is something I'm going to need for the future; (b) find someone in the class who can give me a ride back to the dorms (which is looking like the likeliest option), or (c) convince my mother/grandmother/Ryan's mother/Bigfoot into loaning me the funds to buy a car and some insurance, given that there's no way in Hell I can afford to pay off a bank loan at the moment.
Didn't I prove that I was willing to follow my dream with the whole singing-lesson-bus-ride thing? Now I've got to find some way to get past this too?
