Good things that have happened recently

missroserose1.) Ian's shirt is done, with the minor exception of the buttons not being sewn on yet. Still, all the machine work is done, and I even figured out how to make decent buttonholes with the machine's zig-zag stitch (a paper graph to sew over helped immensely). Pictures will be coming whenever I can get the shirt to him and therefore force him to pose for them; hoping for tomorrow morning, but definitely sometime over the next couple of days.
Now to get busy on that exercise/yoga outfit for which I bought all that purple stretch velvet...
2.) Speaking of Ian, I spent a few hours today with him running various errands, popping off a few rounds at the local shooting range, keeping him company while he cleaned his guns, etc. It was actually a rather enjoyable afternoon; one of the highlights was seeing him and Ayaire greet each other happily without any real twinges of jealousy, albeit a minor bit of regret that I don't make him that happy just by my presence anymore. But by the same token, I'm glad that she does. And seeing her again was nice, too, though we didn't talk long.
3.) My final paycheck from the Tuzzy Library has finally come in, so I'll be heading out to the bank tomorrow with the check (along with my name-change certificate and former-name ID, since Ilisagvik College never got my name change through its bureaucracy). After that, it's to the University for me to pay for classes, and then probably over to JoAnn's for no reason at all except for fun. Yay me.
4.) I got the dishes done, but Ryan's stove eluded a full cleaning. I think it's going to need Comet and a heavy-duty sponge. I'll make him do it.
5.) I'm beat. Headed to bed, I think...
