Brian's currently taking Adam to the hospital for a CAT scan - there's a good chance he has appendicitis.

I know almost no one who reads this blog knows Adam, but he's a good guy - please send prayers/well-wishes/warm thoughts his way.

It is, but from everything I've read treating it is actually pretty simple most of the time (it's surgery, yes, but relatively simple surgery). So I'm sort of crossing my fingers that they've caught it before anything drastic becomes necessary.
