ETA: I just went and read the first article mentioned here, and I was rather disgusted by the tone of it. Call me crazy, but whining because you can't get male attention on Super Bowl Sunday seems pretty dumb - I mean, c'mon, it's the Super Bowl, the biggest testosterone-fest of the year. If you're not into the game, go schedule a spa visit with a friend and get pampered, or wear your baggy jeans around the house, or something. Men aren't required to admire you 24/7, and you shouldn't act all indignant because something comes along once in a while that they find more interesting. (And if you really don't have anything better to do than whine because your oh-so-casual ponytail and Gap jeans aren't getting you noticed, you're probably not that interesting to begin with.)

Okay, done ranting. I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion, but it really annoys me seeing women who promote the "you're worthless if you can't get attention from any man in the room" stereotype. Probably because it was one that I bought into for several years, until I realized what a load of bollocks it was...
