An introduction

Hi kids! Today we're going to introduce a special guest virus, and discuss this great thing called "timing"! But first, the introduction.
See this virus? His name is Head Cold. Wave at Head Cold, kids. C'mon, wave! He's not shy or discriminatory! He loves everybody!
Now, kids, Head Cold is a very nice virus and all, but he doesn't have much in the way of social skills. For one thing, he doesn't understand about when it's time to leave - a lot of people end up having to put up with him much longer than they'd like to. Unfortunately, being a virus, he's pretty hard to scare away with antibiotics and such. And if you tell him straight out to leave, he has a tendency not to hear you.
Also, Head Cold doesn't have any sense of timing at all. Being an opportunistic (Can we say that together? "Op-or-tune-iss-tick") virus, he has a tendency to come along at the most inconvenient times, when you're already stressed out or worn down. Don't be like Head Cold, kids! Make sure your host is enjoying your company as much as you are!
Fortunately, Head Cold's biggest enemy is your own immune system. And while it's hard to fight him off directly, there are lots of things you can do to strengthen your immune system and help it fight him off for you. So remember:
--Take lots of Vitamin C
--Get plenty of rest
--Don't stress out about things
--When Head Cold shows up, run at him going "Die! Die! Die!" That's a pretty unsubtle hint that he's not wanted, and while it hasn't worked before, it might just work this time.
Goodbye kids, and remember - Head Cold, Ya Been Told!
I'm so very sorry. I think the NyQuil's at least partially responsible...
