I'm pretty sure that the majority of the people who read this blog didn't know me when I was 15-16, something for which I should probably be thankful. However, one thing that I was obsessed with at that point was Jesus Christ Superstar - I must've listened to that tape about eight million times on my little $20 Safeway Walkman (this was back when a Discman was more than $100). I often wished that I was male, since it seemed like almost all the fun parts were for guys - I remember particularly liking King Herod's song, as it seemed like it'd just be a lot of fun to sing. But most of all, I really really really wanted to be part of a production of it, and maybe even get to sing in it and act 'n stuff.

Aw, thanks. *blushes* To be honest, I'm surprised that I'm not a little more conflicted about this than I am, given my love/hate relationship with theatre. But oh man, this'd be *so cool*...

Thanks, but I've still got most of the songs memorized. ;) Fortunately, one of the libraries in town has an "Ultimate Broadway Collection" in their reference stacks, so I've got access to music, at least for the piece I'm probably going to sing to audition.

Geez, auditions are next week. How the hell am I supposed to be ready in a *week*?
