Quick cat update
Oct. 5th, 2005 08:25 pmKitties are doing much better now, thanks to the extra litterbox and having a bit more time to get used to each other. Haven't had any more presents, which is good. Still haven't heard Dexter purr, yet, but he'll relax enough eventually.
One funny thing I've noticed, though, is that even though we only have two cats, it seems like there's about four times as much cat in the house as there was when we just had one. Perhaps catness multiplies by the square of the number of actual felines?

Date: 2005-10-06 06:26 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, this morning they were hissing and chasing each other around the house - I think Dexter's decided that the visitor has outstayed his welcome. I put Mr. Jerry Brown in the second bedroom (with food/water/litterbox, of course) and shut the door; I also put Dexter's food bowl near the door with the hope of creating some positive associations. Do you have any other suggestions as to what might help them get along better? I don't know if you've ever had this problem, but I'm more or less clueless as to how to get them to at least tolerate each other...
