I've always considered myself to be a fairly light sleeper. I think this stems both from genetics (my mother's family is prone to sleep disorders) and from a fear I had as a younger child that I would sleep through something interesting/fun.

Well, the latter certainly seems to have come true - I got home around 6:30, as usual, from a rather stressful day at work with a bit of a headache. I take some Advil and decide to lie down for an hour or so, which is no big deal - only plans for the night were Brian and I going to El Sombrero (awesome Mexican resturant downtown), which is open until 10 during tourist season. So I go lie down, pet the kitty, and go to sleep.

And sleep.

Next thing I know, I sit upright in bed with a vague feeling of disorientation - it's 11:15 or so, I'm in bed with no recollection of how I got there. Brian (who's in bed with me) tells me that I've slept through the whole evening; he apparently tried to wake me, but I was too deeply asleep to have any recollection of this.

I'm kind of annoyed at myself, really - even if we hadn't made it to El Sombrero, I really enjoy my evenings with Brian, and now I have to wade through another workday before I get either. :S I really wonder why I was so deeply asleep; while I was a bit stressed, I didn't feel *that* tired...

Oi. I've had days like that. Stupid thing won't let me log in for some reason. I'm at work, by the way. Things go well.
