I've always been a pain wuss. Almost everyone who knows me can tell you that. I avoid pain whenever I can.
Unfortunately, now that I have pain that I have to deal with, period, I don't really know how.
I've mostly been downing painkillers, which helps temporarily, but there was one extraction site where the tooth was really nastily impacted, and even a Percoset (which I'm trying not to overdo on) only gets it to quit for about an hour. I must have gotten up about five times last night to grab more ibuprofen.
I'm about thisfar away from taking three ibuprofen with a beer or something. I know it's not good for my liver, but if it lets me sleep through the night, fine. It can't be that much worse than extra-strength ibuprofen all day, can it?
...no, I'm not really going to do that. Maybe the doctor will have some ideas when I go in for my followup tomorrow morning...

In any case, I wish you the best of luck, and you have my sympathies.
