A few points of note...
May. 11th, 2005 05:07 pm--I have an iPod mini. It's the cutest little thing, tiny and lime-green and nearly large enough to hold my whole music collection. Been having all sorts of fun with it at home, in the car, etc...it's so nice to think of an album I'd like to listen to and then just scroll through the list until I find it, rather than having to dig up the CD. May have to do some organizing of my random single mp3s, but it's altogether the handiest setup I've ever used.
--My car is totally and completely clean. This is a result of the following combination of facts: (a) the nice weather has meant pollen is getting *everywhere*, and I made the mistake of leaving my windows open a crack on a sunny day - so I had a nice golden dusting of the stuff all over the inside as well as the outside; (b) I have portable music out the wazoo (see above); (c) I've been meaning to clean her up once the weather was nice, anyway; (d) as I was coming in I happened to notice that there was car wash soap, Armor-All wipes, spray-on wax, and various other supplies in the garage, and (e) I didn't really have a whole lot to do this afternoon. So she's now all shiny and gleaming inside and out, though by the time I use her again tomorrow she's going to be dusted with pollen again. Unless it rains, as the weather people have been promising us for, oh...*checks watch* two weeks now.
--I am still "on vacation", as it were - classes are through, and they haven't started interviews for this library position that I want yet. However, I went by there and talked to Lynn, the circulation director. She says they're trying to get things done as soon as possible, but thanks to University bureaucracy it doesn't look like interviews will be happening until next week at the earliest. So I'm trying to look at it as an exercise in developing patience and having faith that this will all work out, one way or another.
Besides, having accomplished something semi-productive today, I'm not feeling quite so antsy as I have been...

What grades did you get?
Damn Kingdom of Loathing and its forum haiku contests.
I have an utterly random 2-disc dance mix thing from Mexico you might want to add. The bit that made me grab it was the club remix of "Can't Stop Raving" but there are also some other nice tracks on it.
Between books, metaquotes, and the Kingdom of Loathing, it's a wonder I get any sleep at all.
