About a week ago I faxed in a résumé to an employment agency in Anchorage that was listing an administrative assistant opening here in Juneau. Well, I didn't hear back, so I called the contact person just now, which was a bit nerve-wracking. Fortunately he was very friendly, and he said that while that particular position had been taken, he was pretty certain that there'd be similar positions opening soon (it being springtime and all), and he'd keep me in mind. He even invited me to call back in a couple of weeks if I didn't hear from him. I'd say that's definitely pretty hopeful.

At least he didn't make me feel like an idiot, like some folks I've talked to...

Anyway, here's hoping I hear back from him. But I should probably keep looking, just in case...

Aww on the job being filled already. Yay on the guy being nice. Yay! on their potentially having a job for you later on.
Aye, I do recommend you keep looking just in case. With any luck, they'll have a position, and if they don't hopefully you wont have too look too hard.
Also? I send smackings to the people who made you feel like an idiot. 'Cause you're not. You're really, really smart, and you shouldn't think otherwise.

Fingers crossed -- hoping you get some good job Zen. Definitely keep all your options open. And don't let them make you feel stupid. It's moments like that that make you realize "Ah, so this is why you've got a position you're trying to fill...." And it's best not to work for people with that tendency, hm?

Good luck on the job, but a POX on you for getting that song stuck in my head. A POX I SAY. I haven't sung that song out loud in nigh on ten years, QUITE ON PURPOSE. Now I'll need to wash my ears out with peroxide or something.

It is pretty insidious like that. I spent an entire two weeks of summer camp with it stuck in my head, thanks to our various sing-alongs. That one and "Shine Jesus Shine", which I actually sorta liked. This being from back in the days when I was a Good Christian Girl (TM).

As for the pox, I don't think I've been vaccinated for smallpox, but I'd rather have something less permanently disfiguring...maybe a bad case of the measles? Preferably not during finals week? =D

Damn. "Shine Jesus Shine"? Don't even get me started on the Christian Camp Songs. I will not even kid around with you. Maybe you think I'm gonna go soft by getting "Jesus Loves Me, This I Know" stuck in your head, but YOU'D BE WRONG. I don't fool around, girly. I WILL dust off my collection of Carman and Michael W. Smith CDs. I know where the infinite loop button is.

Pain, thy name is Contemporary Christian Music.
