It's trying so very, very hard to snow outside, and doing a pretty good storm imitation...unfortunately, the ground's too warm and none of it's collecting. I hope this continues to be the case for the next hour or so - I have to drive downtown and back, and snowy roads would not be appreciated. Doesn't look like it'll be too big of a problem, though.

Easter was actually a very pleasant holiday. Brian's mother took the three of us (his brother's in Ketchikan) out to breakfast at one of the nicer restaurants here in town; they had a pretty darn good buffet, and we made our reservations early so we missed most of the after-church crowd. Afterward we ran a few errands, and Brian and I went back to sleep for a bit (damn that comfortable bed of his) until it was time to head over to his friend's place for barbecued prime rib. Very good food, that. We followed that up with a visit to the Shrine of St. Therese, which is this beautiful little church out near Amalga Harbor that's on a little peninsula with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Oddly enough, even though we didn't go to church or anything like that, we sort of had a semi-religious day anyway - aside from the church visitation, we had red wine with lunch, and a friend of his mother's dropped off some rolls that tasted exactly like the bread I used to have at Communion back when I used to go to church. And we spent most of the trip back from the shrine debating various religious topics. Not too bad for a couple of folks who would very likely fall under the category of "not particularly religious...at all".

Ooh, snow just changed to huge fluffy flakes. Still not collecting, and very pretty.
