Since I haven't updated in a while, I'm just going to do a brief rundown of things, mostly by subject...

Weather: The weather here has been glorious the past couple of days. Bright sun, few clouds, snow and ice both melting rapidly. There's still a bit of a chill in the air, especially when you get hit with a gust of wind, but it's otherwise absolutely wonderful after a whole winter of snow and rain.

On the other hand, one can suddenly see exactly how dirty one's windows are, but hey - that's why spring cleaning was invented.

Love Life: Things are still going well with Juneau-Brian, who has recently opened his own LJ account - [livejournal.com profile] likable_lemur. (Okay, so actually he just kept going on about "when he had a blog of his own" until I opened one for him, but he uses it, so hey.) It'll make differentiating between the two Brians a bit easier, at least online. Meanwhile, we're just starting to look at apartment listings and whatnot, and making plans for decoration and the like. He got a very nice bookcase from some friends of his family that's sort of serving as our demonstration model for what we want the inside to look like - not too cluttered, but nicely arranged and with all sorts of pretty decorative things like candles and whatnot (my mother sent us a couple hundred dollars worth of Partylite candles/holders as a prize for my pulling straight As last semester). We also have our eye on a very nice wood-and-wrought-iron wine/liquor rack they're selling at the local furniture liquidation warehouse, but that depends on whether [a] it's still there when we have the money for it, and [b] whether we can find someplace to keep it until we have an apartment to put it in. =)

Summer Job: Haven't gotten around to applying for anything secretarial like I'd originally planned, but I may have a line on a job anyway - selling sparkly things to tourists this summer. One of the gift shop owners downtown who Brian knows is looking for daytime summer help, which I'd be glad to do - it'd be hard work, but if there are commissions involved, even with rent I could make a decent nest egg to help me with whatever I decide to do next, be it college or a permanent job or whatever. Anyway, I dropped off my resumé and the woman pretty much interviewed me on the spot, so we'll see if my 100% success rate with interviews so far holds. I'll be going by again on Monday to meet the owner, though, so I'm going to assume that's a good thing...and even if I don't get the job, it's not like it's going to be that hard to find another one. There's certainly no shortage of work in Juneau in the summer.

I've got more to talk about, but I'll probably update later - I have to go shelf read now. Blargh.
