Nothing new to say, really...
Feb. 28th, 2005 09:50 amStill broke, still hating it. My mother's going to give me a bit of extra money to help with this paycheck, which will be nice since I've got $60 worth of gas on my credit card to pay off and $55 to pay GEICO to cover the part of my car insurance that my tax return won't. But I'll have enough for food, and maybe a CD or something...I dunno.
Except this morning my car started vibrating when I hit about 45 mph. According to what I can find on the net, it's likely a brake problem (which makes sense, given that I've smelled something burning in the past when I got out of my car) and needs to be fixed ASAP. Which is going to be another couple hundred (at least)...which I don't have. So either I ask my mother for more money, or put it on my credit card and hope to God I can pay it off eventually. And I still haven't gotten the rear windshield replaced - I'm supposed to call them today, make sure they have the moldings, and make an appointment. If it weren't for the fact that I've already ordered it, I'd be sorely tempted to skip the windshield thing, stick with the plastic for now and use the money to fix the brakes or whatever it is.
I really can't afford to have a car *and* save for an apartment. Not on this salary.
