No, we do not have a pop machine in the Egan Library building. Considering how many accidents we have yearly involving computers/books and drinks, I'm surprised beverages (even covered ones) are allowed in the library at all. Letting out an "Ohmigod, like, why?" in your best valley-girl/cheerleader voice and looking at me like I've grown a second nose will not change the fact that the nearest soda machine is located at the other end of campus (which is easily walkable, it's not that big a campus) in the Hendrickson building. It simply makes you look idiotic, and makes me wonder if I could strangle you and get off on a "favor to humanity" plea.

Also, the note below about perfume/miscellaneous scents below applies to you, too.

Not to be a perfectionist or anything, but the soda and snack machines are on the bottom floor of the Sobelof building. I know because I practically live down there, and I'm going to overhaul the machines. (don't ask, you'll see). You're right though, not very far to walk. If they're that desperate for liquid, point out that there is a water fountain next to the bathrooms.

Arent there intermittently vending machines next to the computer lab as well, on the 2nd floor of the building (quite near the library as UAS goes, and worth walking if you need a snack even if this was UAF weather. Unless you're Rose.)?

Negative. They took those out. In fact, those are the machines that now reside in Sobelof, to my knowledge.

Sorry for doubleposting but I dont see a way to edit comments... the "getting of on a "a favor to humanity" isnt likely if im in the jury. Their kids are going to be between my kids and the enemy in the next big war, and all that.
