missroserose1.) My car is fixed and running beautifully. Grand total price to fix it: $161.30. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who prayed for her (and me). She's very happy now. Plus I got some great lessons in learning to let go of things that I can't control. Anxiety-related heartburn aside, it was quite educational. =)
2.) Since I got paid, got my car fixed (for much less than I thought it would be), and got my dividend all in the same week, I went on a minor shopping spree with Lydia last night/earlier today. Most of it was minor stuff (makeup to go with my red dragon dress, including a tube of "Scarlet Velvet" Revlon lipstick; a few more patterns at JoAnns), but I got two things which I'm very happy with: a black gel-padded Wonderbra which does amazing things for my figure, and a black satin formal gown, complete with floofy skirt and whatnot, that I found at the Salvation Army - brand new, with tags still attached. For $25. (This being the kind of dress that goes from $100 to $250 retail, depending on the boutique.) Apparently one of the local stores is under new management and dumped all their old stock; I absolutely frelling love this dress. And I love the price even more. =D Lydia also got a couple of Wonderbras, and I must say they do even more wondrous things for her figure. (Being a D-cup, she has a hard time finding bras that give enough support, but these make her look absolutely amazing.)
3.) There's a Halloween ballroom dance tonight, and Lydia and Juneau-Brian and Alison and I are all going. So I'm going to wear my pretty floofy new dress with some cat ears (wait, am I supposed to dress up as something I'm not?) and black satin elbow gloves, which should be a lot of fun to dance in. Plus I'm going to learn all the guy's parts so I can dance with Lydia. ;)
4.) Is "floofy" even a word? I'll have to look it up...
5.) I really need to not drink coffee, even just a small cup. I hit 75 MPH at about noon and am not showing any signs of stopping anytime soon...
