As a matter of fact, Ryan did come through on plans for Thursday night, so I got to spend a nice, leisurely evening watching movies over at his parents' house, as his father is out of town. (I am so in love with this house. Nicely designed, nicely decorated, nicely built - his father built it over the course of several years. Oh, and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.) His mother called the next morning, and when I talked to her, she basically gave me an open invite to use the house to "get away from the dorms" whenever they weren't there. So now I have a key.

Anyone up for some movie-watching and drink-sipping, one of these nights?

Anyway, once Ryan headed to work last night I was sort of bored, so I gave Lydia a call and we went to JoAnns (add four more 99 cent patterns to the tally...). I got some fabric on clearance for $3 a yard and proceeded to use one of my shirt patterns to make a rather nice shirt out of it. I have a couple of pictures, but they didn't come out so well, so I'll post new ones once it's finished (I still need to hem the sleeves, and possibly redo one of the shoulder seams). Meantime, thanks to Lydia for keeping me company last night...cuddly overnight guests are always fun. *halo*

And, that's all for now, folks...

Mmmm movie watching and drink sipping. Or is it drink watching and... no, no I'm pretty sure the former is correct. Actually, given a day when I'm not working i could probably pull this off. I haven't checked how easy it would be to catch a flight up there.

Unfortunately, unless you're going to pull a Leo DiCaprio (from Catch Me If You Can) and hitch a free ride up here, it tends to get rather pricey flying to Alaska. Not that I wouldn't love to have you. ;)

Working for an airline *does* have its advantages. But as I recall the market into Juneau is a little limited. (Juneau? I seem to recall that's where you are.)

Yeah. Unless you work for Alaska Airlines (or Horizon, or one of their partners), I don't know if they'd take you there. I've have to look and see if there's anyone else that flies here.

I work for SkyWest, and I can get space-available tickets on Alaska. I'm not sure if Horizon is included in that or not, but I can find out.
I warn you, if I come visit I may flirt with you.

Horizon probably is, though you may not even need to fly with them, depending on where you're located - Alaska goes all the way to Washington, DC now.

And that'll hardly put you anywhere different than most of my friends. ;)

Just checked--if there's room, I can go San Jose to Seattle to Juneau, and there may be something direct as well. (: I can get more concrete information when I'm at work.
