Heidy-ho...
Oct. 3rd, 2004 10:52 am...and yay for useless syllables to use as entry subjects. =)
Last few days have actually been rather fun. Aside from the whole feeling-more-sociable bit, I've managed to have some relatively enjoyable experiences. Friday night was spent watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Brian (not
eventhewaves Brian, a different Brian here in Juneau. Bah. I'm just going to call him California Brian from here on out). I'd managed to nab the very last copy they had at Fred's, which I was fairly happy about, given that this is one of the few movies I've liked enough to buy as soon as it was released (normally I'll wait until the price drops to $15 or even $10 first). The movie was good, I made dinner beforehand (yay for spaghetti, one of the few things I can cook decently!), and the company was excellent - we spent some time afterward talking about various relationships we'd had that had crashed and burned. Probably inspired by the movie, but hey.
And yesterday, I went and picked up Alison and we headed out to JoAnn's so I could get some fabric for my Halloween costume. I've come to the conclusion that I should not be allowed near a JoAnn's on a Saturday - they were having another 99 cent pattern sale. Those things are dangerous...I ended up picking up another bunch of patterns, including a couple of skirt ones that look fairly quick and easy. Anyway, we later picked up Ian and headed downtown (first time I'd taken Marian all the way downtown; I'm pleased to say she handled it without a problem) and went to see Hero again. Ian was a little leery of the idea, at first, as he'd heard mixed reviews of it; when I asked him his opinion shortly after the movie had ended, he replied, "It was worthy."
As anyone who knows him can attest, this is high praise. ;)
I also found my keys, which is definitely better than having to pay the money to get the place re-keyed. They were in the back seat of my car, of all places...apparently they'd fallen through the space between the front seats and landed a little ways under the back of the driver's seat, which is why I hadn't seen them when I spent 10 minutes looking through the front seat of my car. *sigh*
No, Rose isn't feeling stupid at all, why do you ask? =)
