I appear to be having an airheaded day. I very nearly drove off from the gas station with the cap still sitting on top of the car, and now I've lost my room keys. In the short term, that's not so bad, since I can more easily do without a room key than a car key for now, but if I can't find it it's going to cost $170 to replace the key (plus $25 for the mailbox key). Argh.

Here's hoping they turn up in the Fred Meyer parking lot or something...

Miaou...

I'm sorry. Have you found your keys yet? If not, here's a round of crossed fingers and wood-knocking for you...

Ouch. Dammit! That freakin' hurt.

Anyway, um, yeah... I hope you've found your keys, and I guess I'll talk to you later on tonight sometime.

Wow, congrats on the people who run your housing for making a nice 17000% profit on a key. (Costs a buck to cut a key, but I suppose the "risk of having someone break in" factor is adding to that.) Oddly enough, I hear that's about the profit margine people make producing and selling crack. Makes you want to go into real estate huh?

Actually, the locks they have here are these weird European ones that are virtually impossible to pick, and the keys are likewise strange. As a result, they're a bit more expensive to re-key and re-cut. But I still think that it shouldn't cost quite that much.

In any case, I found them now, so it's no big deal.
