Bah. It doesn't matter. I have a car. =D

I've decided to name her Marian since she's very much a "Marian the Librarian" kind of car - solid, comfortable, with one or two nice doohickeys but nothing particularly expensive or impractical. I'll probably be ordering a vanity plate with her name on it once they mail me the title and everything. (Of course, then everyone's going to be assuming that my name is Marian, but hey.) I did manage to haggle the dealer down to four grand, but she ended up costing me $4250 with tax and title transfer fees, so that's all good.

Many, many thanks go to all my relatives for lending/giving me the money so I could buy her, to my mother for saving money for the inevitable repairs, and to the Affordable Auto Sales folks for being friendly, no-pressure salespeople - if you have to buy a car in Juneau, I'd definitely recommend them.

And now that this is all over and done with, maybe my adrenal glands (which kicked into overdrive Monday and haven't stopped since) will finally calm down and let me get a decent night's sleep...
