It's a really nifty feeling when you're suddenly reminded of a song you haven' t listened to for years and years, and when you download it you realize that it just exactly fits your mood at the time...
Having owned several differnt MP3 players (all differing brands), I honestly have to ask, did you look for a hardware reset switch? It's usually some kind of very small hole in the back or along the side, usually you push a paperclip into it and it forces the player to reset.
Being that I don't own an ipod, I don't know if there is one, but it might be worth looking...
