An unintentionally grumble-filled entry

You know, it strikes me -- they tell you never to go grocery shopping on an empty stomach, but I pretty much have to, or else I don't buy anything. Cooking/eating aren't really my thing to begin with, and if I go to the store and I'm not hungry then I end up picking up maybe one or two things and that's it. Because I'd rather use the money for other things.

But hey. We all need food, right? Even if I *am* in an under-21 dorm, which means that I can't have wine with my pasta. *grumble*

In other news, something I forgot to mention yesterday - the apartment they've put me in, while nice enough, is a bit on the gloomy side. Few windows, and most of the light is either blocked by trees or the eaves of the apartment building. Fortunately, my mother reimbursed me for the sewing machine, as well as giving me an extra bit of cash for decorations, and books weren't as expensive as I thought (only two of them this semester, about $150 total. Yay!). So chances are I'll be getting some pictures, a floor lamp, maybe some silk flowers, etc.

That is, assuming Ryan gets here with the Lumina so that I don't have to take the bus down to Fred's. *grumblegrumble*

Meh. I go now.

You know, if you need a ride to someplace like fred meyers or costco to pick up bulky stuff (within reason of course), I have a new(ish) 4 runner, I'd be glad to offer you a ride...

Last time I checked, it is what friends are for...

Thanks, I actually very much appreciate it. Considering that Ryan currently isn't getting any sex and soon will be getting very little of my time, I feel bad calling him every time I need to do a major shopping trip.

If I can finagle the funds, I'd like to get a floor lamp, so I might be calling you soon. ;)

Which reminds me, we still have yet to get together...which is mostly my fault. Apologies.

Figured it was a busy time, no sense in insisting upon hanging out if you're all sorts of stress (and your time is thus invested there).

And of course this is all offered with the understanding that Ryan should not feel any kind of jealousy or anyhing, that's one place I just don't particularly want to go....

The fact that Ryan and I are not currently together and you and Alisa are currently together aside, I have very little interest in anything other than a standard "friends" relationship. I'm actually trying to work on my ability to relate to people that I'm not sleeping with, which is a lot harder than it sounds. Ryan knows this, therefore he won't likely be jealous.

Plus there's the fact that within 15 minutes of talking to you I was able to ascertain that we'd kill each other were we ever in a relationship of that sort. =D

You see, I never thought there was any intention, and even if there was, it probably would have come out before now, therefore I wasn't worried about *that* being an issue.

I was mostly worried about having to deal with this guy who's like half my size, suddenly thinking it's a good idea to confront me over some imagined thing.

I actually have several (including some of the votives you gave us when we were in CA, thank you), but the dorms don't allow us to light them - they're supposed to be for "decorative purposes only". And since I'm sharing the apartment with a dorm staff member, I don't think I can get away with a "don't ask, don't tell" policy. =(
