I am now 21 years old.

I feel like I should have some sort of philosophical/theological insight, though quite honestly I see nothing particular about this age that sets it apart from any other, aside from a rather arbitrary American law that most people don't go out of their way to obey. But it's nice to know that I'm legally an adult in all senses.

I do feel somewhat apprehensive about the future. Admittedly I've got another two, or more likely three years of college before I'll have a degree of some sort, but that doesn't seem so far off any more. And I still don't know what it is I'll be doing after that, or where the money to do it with will come from.

I suppose I'll have to trust in that youthful naïveté so renowned in people of my age:

I'm finally 21. I rule!

21 or not, I bet you still rule. Congratulations on surviving so far. And now you've reached the wisdom to know the answer of that universal question "what is six times nine divided by two?"

You miss the truly renowned facet of someone in your position. Allow me. *ahem*.

CHUG! CHUG! CHUG!

Thank you.

BTW, happy birthday. Remind me to do something fitting in the near future.

Congrats. Happy Birthday.

There is nothing introspective, or philosophical, or any of that movie-type hoakie crap when you become of a certain age. Besides, age it's just a number and only matters to people who like to typecast.

Enjoy your day, all the same.

Heh, at least you recognize your youthful naïveté and can poke a little fun at it. I don't think I had quite that level of self-awareness when I turned 21.

Um.....
21.
Cool. At least you can go see the "concerts" they have at Hoochies- oops, I mean Marlintini's (or the Landing...)

Admittedly, it's due to Brian that I ever read any entries at LJ period.

21 is a misnomer of a grandiose age. it'll take about 4 years before you start to think what ages really matter
