Jul. 15th, 2004 11:15 pmI am now 21 years old.
I feel like I should have some sort of philosophical/theological insight, though quite honestly I see nothing particular about this age that sets it apart from any other, aside from a rather arbitrary American law that most people don't go out of their way to obey. But it's nice to know that I'm legally an adult in all senses.
I do feel somewhat apprehensive about the future. Admittedly I've got another two, or more likely three years of college before I'll have a degree of some sort, but that doesn't seem so far off any more. And I still don't know what it is I'll be doing after that, or where the money to do it with will come from.
I suppose I'll have to trust in that youthful naïveté so renowned in people of my age:
I'm finally 21. I rule!

Date: 2004-07-16 06:21 am (UTC)There is nothing introspective, or philosophical, or any of that movie-type hoakie crap when you become of a certain age. Besides, age it's just a number and only matters to people who like to typecast.
Enjoy your day, all the same.

Cool. At least you can go see the "concerts" they have at Hoochies- oops, I mean Marlintini's (or the Landing...)

Date: 2004-07-17 08:04 am (UTC)Admittedly, it's due to Brian that I ever read any entries at LJ period.
21 is a misnomer of a grandiose age. it'll take about 4 years before you start to think what ages really matter
