...I think I have a stalker.
But hey, she's female and cute, so it's all good. =)
See, there's this chick I keep running into. Not just recently, and not very often, but fairly consistently over the past few years. This might not seem so strange, except for the last few years I've been living in Juneau, Fairbanks, and Barrow, and I've run in to her in at least two out of three of those places (I can't quite remember if I saw her in Fairbanks or not).
It's actually not as strange as it sounds - she apparently does survey work in various communities around Alaska, so she travels around the state a lot. I'm not sure where she lives, though I'd guess one of the larger cities, but she usually runs into me when she's doing something survey-related.
Anyway, I was putting videos away about twenty minutes ago when I had a feeling I should sit down for a moment. As my feet were rather tired and there was no one at the front desk, I sat down for a short rest. A couple of minutes later, Diane (I'm putting her name down so I don't forget it again) comes up to the front desk. We both blink for a second, then laugh and have a bit of a chat.
I gave her my phone number. I have no clue if she'll call (or if she's even interested in getting together), but hey, it can't hurt. And she's only in town for another week and a half anyway...ah, well. *hopes*

Date: 2004-06-15 05:19 am (UTC)I've been digging your writing about Alaska. It sounds like a very mysterious but beautiful place. Going from what you've written about it, I would think that you're not disenchanted with it at all and you appreciate it..maybe even like it..but I could be wrong.
I'd love to add you to my friends list..if you wanna add me back that would be cool, but I thought I'd ask permission first.

Date: 2004-06-15 01:47 pm (UTC)Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of bad stuff. Frellin' cold winters, for instance. And Alaska hicks are a breed all their own...
Though, just out of curiousity, does this mean you won't be interested in my journal anymore if I move? =)
(Feel free to add me to your friends list, I honestly don't understand why some people get so pissed about it. If you don't want people to read your journal, why is it public?)
