This evening, I managed for the first time to eat a McDonald's fish sandwich and fries while driving home.

I am officially an American now.

Gee, and here I thought that actually being able to consume anything at all from the grease pit known as McDonalds made you an American.
I suppose I must be Canadian, because I prefere Dariy Queen and A&W.
Yay for our neighbors. Yay for Canada.
Right.
I'm done now.

Actually...

... the true test of Americanism is the ability to drive a car while simultaneously eating a Big Mac, reading a road map, and disparaging foreigners over a cell phone.

You were pretty close, though, and so achieve the honorary rank of "Canadian."

Yes, I am tired and weird. What gives it away?

Y'know, Canadian might carry more honor in her book than American. Be careful what you call her.

Heh. Well, I can say that Canadian has more honor in my book, at the moment...

But if I'm tired and I see a friend talking humorously about officially becoming an American, I'm going to go with the weirdest comeback that comes to mind. =)

Heh heh. Wouldn't be the first time she's talked about that. And she's not the only one, either. =)

One is an American when one thinks of the USA as America.
You were better off before you soiled your innards with the corporate filth of McDonalds food. Your mind is corrupted! foul beast.
