Coats and Clubs
Mar. 7th, 2004 04:06 amDay 1 & 7/8 of L.A. Trip:
I've been wanting a long black coat for a while.
I finally got one.
Three buckles down the front, and even better...corset lacing on the sides.
I love this coat.

In other news, tonight was my very first time at a goth/S&M club. It was definitely an interesting experience, though I found myself standing back and anaylizing the psychology of it more than actually letting loose and enjoying myself. (
errant_variable, this is all your fault. You've turned me into a thinker-watcher person. I guess those two years didn't go to waste after all. =P) I did dance a bit, however, and it was rather fun. They also had a small, highly stylized S&M stage (more performance art than anything else, really) which was interesting to watch. And there was one chick on the stage who had both a corset and a bustline that I was drooling over. =) All in all, it was actually worth the two hours it took to find the place, though I'm not quite sure about the two hours it took to find our way home.
As a side note, I thought the skirt I was wearing was too short, but I actually ended up as one of the more conservatively dressed girls there. I swear some of those outfits were made of electrical tape...
I'm thinking of writing a poem about the experience, as soon as the various thoughts running around my head congeal. That'd definitely be something fun to read in Creative Writing class. *evil grin*

Date: 2004-03-08 08:04 pm (UTC)On that same note, the coat looks like the Hot Topic Preist Coat with a corset on the OUTSIDE. Strange, but also effective...

Date: 2004-03-07 12:01 pm (UTC)every so often, I glance at your pages, Rose. Never sure if I should leave a message here, since you know me not.
Glad you are still n one lively piece after those driving adventures.
Oh, and that photo above with the longcoat? Good enough to make dirty old men have thoughts of bad intentions.
Subject title comes from a Blue Oyster Cult song, btw.

Date: 2004-03-07 12:50 pm (UTC)Brian actually got me listening to Blue Oyster Cult a couple of years ago, so I recognized the song. Good one, used to be a favorite of mine.
Anyone is free to leave messages, that's why this journal is (mostly) public. It's always nice to know that someone's reading it. =)
And if you think that's good enough for a dirty old man, just wait until you see the pictures of the outfit underneath. I plan to post them on
Anyway, thanks for the comment!
