I'm assuming this is a good thing, but I'm going to show my ignorance and ask what, exactly a is slashdotting? I figure it has something to do with that website...

Means it gets publicity with millions of geeks worldwide.

Depending on the site slashdotted, it also tends to hammer the bandwidth and transfer limits of whatever site gets posted. The result is often a total shutdown of the website for several hours to days. Even a not-so-little games newspage that I frequent got flattened when they mentioned it in passing.

There is no problem in our lives so great that it can't be made to seem a little less frightening with a few carefully placed chocolate chip cookies.

(I don't know what kind of cookies you have. I just said chocolate chip because they're my favourites.)

I hope your predictions (from your article at fireflyfans)come true for the Firefly movie. Yay!
