Yes, I'm one of those disgusting people who tries to get her taxes done a couple of months early to avoid the last-minute rush. Plus you get better prices on TurboTax for the Web if you file early. Also, I have the forthcoming trip to Los Angeles in March, so I can use all the money I can get.

I'll spare everyone the boring details. It took three tries and just over three and a half hours, but I finally managed to get all the information in correctly, in the correct places, in the correct form. (At one point it said I was only getting $8 back, which I think was a problem with the program - it started hiccuping about halfway through.)

In any case, assuming the IRS accepts my e-file, I'll have a bit more money to spend in LA than I anticipated. All hail Permanent Fund Dividend withholding.

And now, I'm off to clean house, then bed. 'Night, folks.

Did you know that you could do your taxes online for free?

Actually I usually get much more than that (long story involving AK Permanent Fund Dividend), which is why I knew it was wrong. Fortunately I was able to redo the tax return and get my rightfully owed money. It just took me a bleedin' long time. =)
