Wow...

Speech is done.

I literally could not write anything last night, so this entire speech was written and practiced between 8 AM - 12:00 PM this morning.

I expected to do about as well as I did on my previous two speeches (middle C).

I aced the bloody speech.

(Okay, so I haven't gotten grades back yet, but it was easily the best speech I've ever done in my life.)

I'm still trying to figure out how this happened.

Current theories involve (a) lack of sleep (I think I got maybe two hours last night), (b) too much end-of-semester adrenaline, and (c) divine intervention.

I must examine these theories closer at a later date, I think.

For now, home. And sleep.

Theory one: youve been around me enough that my talent for utterly BSing things has combined with yours and created something great.

Theory two: like my last year at aca deca, you think you did well, your reviewers acted like you did well, and you will actually get royally dicked on your grade.

Theory three: This is all a dream, and you will wake up at 7AM Saturday with a half-finished stack of notecards. :)

... as well as many congratulations. As for the how, well, maybe it's better to just not read too deeply into it. This might just be one of those cases of necessity -- and desperation -- being the mothers of invention. Anyway, good luck on the grade, and hope you had a nice night's/day's/wharever's worth of sleep. =)
