Directions. This is not following them.
Apr. 9th, 2012 11:14 amAs the gallery's somewhat shorthanded at the moment, on Friday, I posted a want ad on Craigslist for a job here. I asked potential applicants to respond to the ad with "Gallery Position" in the subject line of the email.
To their credit, most of the applicants followed the directions. One of them did make me snicker when they put "Gallery Position" in quotes - we're thinkin' in a straight line (da na na naaa na na)!. But it's hardly a disqualifying offense, and hey, maybe it shows attention to detail.
The one that picks up the prestigious Mock Worthy Award this time around, though? In all seriousness, spacing and capitalization intact?
"GaLLerY positiOn !"
Look, I'm sure you're a nice person and all, and I hate to break it to you, but your part-time hobby selling Magic cards on eBay when you were 17 isn't something that's likely to net you many real-world gigs. So you might want to tone it down a bit.
