Brian and I didn't end up getting to most of our plans, but we had a pretty nice day nonetheless. I spent the morning cleaning up the apartment (something neither of us had been around enough to do lately and it was starting to show); Brian made it in around 1:30 and we've been spending the rest of the day doing various things. Mostly doing some major grocery shopping; we donated our eating-out money for the next couple of weeks to a good cause so we actually had to *gasp* plan out meals for the week and buy serious groceries. I think it'll work out fine, though. And thanks to my PFD, I still had enough to get us a bottle of Dom Perignon for our anniversary. :) To tell the truth, it's felt like kind of a special day anyway - probably because I haven't had to work or go to rehearsal for the first (and last) time in weeks.

In other news, said rehearsals have been going pretty well, and we're almost through with the choral section of them. The chorus as a whole is sounding really good, and my voice is a lot stronger than it was when I started (I could barely hit a high A, let alone hold it for seven or eight measures). For the next few weeks they're going to be working on staging mostly with the principal characters, so I get to have evenings off during the week and just go to weekend rehearsals until Thanksgiving. Another day off for Thanksgiving, and then tech week (read: 12-hour rehearsals that weekend and an insane weekly schedule until performances, which are (thankfully) only for four days. So while I'm looking forward to that, I'm also going to be glad to have my life back afterwards.

Ah, theatre, how I hate to love thee...
