The best string instrument repair guy in Tucson (and by this I mean violins, violas, and cellos, I don't know if he does guitars) is one of those individual dudes working out of his home. He did amazing repair work to cracks on my violin when I was a teenager and wasn't good about watching the humidity in my violin case.
I suggest calling or emailing guitar stores and/or guitar instructors to see if they have personal recommendations among the three authorized dudes.
