I suppose that in some ways it might have left room open for a sequel, but that's entirely dependent on how the box office numbers look, I think.

Yes, Taylor Kitsch does look good in the pulp-sci-fi lack of complete coverage--but he also looks damn good in that suit he's wearing at the end of the film too.

If the film had been an hour longer, they might have been able to get more depth to the characters and still make it all enjoyable. At least, that's my perspective on it. Overall, it's a film we'll be adding to the movie collection once it's out on DVD.
