The thought I have on that is that maybe her great-aunt was called Something the Something-Else-Not-Very-Complimentary, and that it may not necessarily have been completely obvious at this point in Rowena's upbringing. Politicians are so very good at (intentionally or not) glossing over the more uncomfortable parts of their family histories.
